All Development Program initiatives have been established with the objective of promoting and facilitating commercial development, generating investment within commercial markets and aiding the formation of business ties between local companies and the companies from the international private sector.
Projects include the Iraq Development Program, an initiative organised to aid the development of Iraq as an economic force, improve the country socially and benefit its people as they establish themselves as part of the international community. Now established as the leading business summit for Iraq, it aims to promote the role of the international private sector within the country, building the relationships needed to aid development and providing senior corporate executives with the opportunity to hold discussions and enter into contractual negotiations with high level officials through a range of sectors, including oil and gas, information and communication technology, electricity, education, security and defence and trade.
Alongside this, the Humanitarian Development Program is an initiative organised to tackle the global concern of humanitarian relief and the requirements of emerging and developing countries to address the key issues allowing for sustainable development. The central aim of the HDP is to promote greater private sector participation in the humanitarian sector, encouraging long-term commitment to sustainable development and ongoing social and economic progress to ensure humanitarian assistance is not squandered. Ultimately, strong commitment to sustainable development through public/private partnerships should, over time, mitigate the need for charitable aid, to the benefit of local communities.
